Electrical Outlets

Electrical outlets could be replaced every 10 years; or, until worn out. I usually replace them every 10 years though they do not require replacement.
Here is how to do it:

Do NOT place a probe in the round ground hole. The result would be a loud explosion, sparks flying out of the outlet; then the DMM [Digital multimeter] being shorted. If that happens, replace the fuse.

The same technique apples to GFCI outlets used in bathrooms, swimming pools; kitchens; or, other wet areas. They prevent electric shock in wet areas.
